What a great list!

Some of the things I love about summer:

1. Longer days - I get more done when it's light after work
2. Lots of reading time
3. Hiking - especially at Bryce Canyon
4. Shakespear Festival
5. Tennis
6. Trips to Vernal

Hope you're having a great summer!

Wonderful list!! I love all of those things, but some of them don't go with summer for me; like alarm clocks because I still have to use one to get up for work. And of course number 7 doesn't apply to me, but I can see why it's so great.

I really like dusk in the summer as well; I especially like the way it looks shining through the trees in the sitting area in front of the house.

Anyway, here's to great things about summer!!

I don't see barbecues at your house. That is on my list. I understand why you love summer, but spring and fall are still my favorites; fall is slightly ahead. By the way, I am bringing fuit and caramel popcorn along with the peach dessert on Tues. Just in case there is not enough food.

Julie, M & I will be at the Shakespeare Festival this summer. Looking forward to it.

Aly, the way the sunlight comes through the atmosphere at dusk makes everything look soft and enchanted. Love it!

Framed, I'm with you - love spring and fall best. I love the cooler weather. Spring the buds of the trees, flowers pushing through after a long, dreary winter. Fall with the promise of harvest - squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn on the cob, colorful leaves. I think I too like fall the best, if only it didn't herald winter.

Thanks you guys for checking out my new blog and making comments. Love hearing from you all.

Framed, barbecues are listed at #2. Definitely a highlight of summer, along with your peach desert and caramel popcorn!

I'm bummed to be missing the BBQ this year. Honestly, I don't think I'll be able to go until the 4th is a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. That's not for a few years. Or, I may get a job that let's me have more time off. Who am I kidding?! My job gives me as much time off as I want, I just don't take many days off so I can get paid!! I hate having bills.

Anyway, hope you all have tons of fun! I'm glad I'll be seeing some of you next week. Booklogged, I'm really glad you and M are coming (see your other blog)!

Julie, sure wish you could be here. It's always funner when you are. We are thinking there will be 45 people this year. Unbelievable. I tried to resign, but my kids wouldn't let me.
